>the government forced mandates on their employer.
In the US, only health care providers were forced to be vaccinated. The Supreme Court struck down OSHA mandates. The decision to force vaccination was a decision by the employers themselves, as is evident from the many employers who chose not to.
My employer chose to fire me for requesting a religious exemption. My brother's employer sent home pamphlets encouraging employees to get vaccinated, but there were never any requirements.
The people truly to blame for vaccine mandates are a bunch of Karens in HR who decided to practice medicine without a licence, by force. I do not favor collectivising blame to "the government"/all taxpayers/effectively nobody.
Those companies that overstepped their legal authority deserve to be sued to oblivion. Discrimination lawsuits for those fired. Workers compensation lawsuits for those who were vaccine injured as a condition of employment.
Diffusing blame to all of society (the government) let's those individuals who are personally and specifically to blame off the hook for what they did.
