This is the second time this has happened. Was cancelled by the same group (Q4P) last year (https://ottawacitizen.com/news/local-news/renewed-calls-for-solidarity-as-capital-pride-parade-takes-place-amid-controversy)
Because Capital Pride put out a statement August 6 2024, which included boycots of isreali buisness; have an 'arab queer showcase' and 'call for ceasefire'. Anyways ppl got mad, the city said they didn't wanna be involved andddd it got canned.
In response; this year, Q4P demanded an apology for this city, among others in Picrel.
