There is a "liberal elite" but it's just that intelligencia, a class of niche of millionaires who receive media attention, but have no real power. Actors, college professors, journalists, scientists etc don't have the same interests as billionaires and the finance industry, they're actually closer to working class, despite being out of touch in some ways.
