That feeling of back and forth between two players trying to break each other's boards after turn 3 is amazing. I also love the fact there's a shit ton of cards all throughout the entirety of the game's life to potentially use to craft yourself a deck that truly feels like your own. Sure, a majority of those cards are dogshit, but it feels so great when you stumble upon a niche card that improves your deck. I just love how much personality oozes from making a deck. It's like buying a car and modding it yourself.
Sadly most people are meta sheep, too many modern endboards end with too many negates, and lingering handtraps kills non-meta decks more than it does against meta decks. Genesys kinda fixes the game a little bit with a point system, but not allowing Links and Pends hurts the spirit of using any deck throughout the game's history and lingering handtraps aren't hit hard enough. The game is still fun and I still love it, but I just wished Konami would stop designing new engines that has no locks while not committing to a normal summon and then kill off all the Maxx C and its variants, Droll, and Shifter entirely. New engines should either force you to commit to a Normal Summon or give you harsh lock.
