This is supposed to make you think it's an inadequate amount of money they can't make more of.
The truth is it's 2,000 a month, as much as many full-time workers make, and it lets them have / pay for their house, more than what most young people get. That's literally a mortgage payment in a lot of america.
Basically you're supposed to see them as helpless and not able to do anything, but it's actually the opposite, the average worker is helpless and has to work full-time while they are retired and can just do whatever they want with their time and their estate.
