Viv's writing honestly just feels like fanfiction. It's not that fanfic writers are bad, I've read some incredible things over the years, but there's a certain style to it that doesn't translate well into original works. If she wants to do that sort of thing, make an ao3 account under a different name and go wild. Though imagine the drama if someone found out it was her, it would be horrendous.

The first episode made me feel like there's definitely a gap between Alastor and everyone else in the hotel now. He's there, but he's not there, so to speak. Everyone coming together to try and rescue him would hit hard, and depending on what Viv ends up doing with him could set up so much.
