Unironically, what are the odds that Epstein got offed by Trump? I mean, he was the sitting president when the supposed suicide happened, he could've done it however he wanted. He knew that Epstein's list could prove disastrous to his re-election.
Killing Epstein didn't outright get rid of the problem, but it delayed this exact current news cycle far enough that it wouldn't have hurt his re-election chances.
