What they actually need to do is not print extremely strong quick effects on boss monsters. The problem is going first means if your opponent has nothing to stop you, you will end on 5+ interactions, most of them reusable the next turn, to completely wear out your opponent. Your search gets negated, your starter gets banished, your extender gets negated, and now you have 3 cards left with no normal summon and presumably already using your extender, while they have 2-3 interactions left even if you have more. It's like old set 4 pass except the 4 you set get to reuse themselves every turn and generate more value and also doesn't even remove 4 cards from your hand to set them.
The design space needs to change, even if it means older decks have the privilege of working with this design, you have to start somewhere.
