Usually just noticing those three tells is enough to basically have the confirmation someone has reached tenpai or is one tile away from it.
Early dora drops then eventually followed by all tsumogiri is another easy tell.
Seeing them push against riichi is also somewhat a tell, but it's not that reliable.
