He will remain a reluctant MAGA and will try to steer the movement to be more friendly to his goals. The economic argument against mugrants is successful against centrists, the results of mass deportations will be apparent ina few years time, and by then advocating for illegals will be akin to the troon issue right now: a vanity issue for wealthy leftists.
