Belgium will receive its first four F-35s from the US on October 13, clearing the way for transferring F-16s to Ukraine, Defense Minister Theo Francken confirmed. The move fulfills a 2023 pledge to send jets once Belgium’s F-35 fleet was operational. Kyiv may now receive the aircraft earlier than initially planned.
