It's usually people that come from certain economic backgrounds and by that I don't mean poverty. You see there's people that earn a living by being employed and then people that earn a living by owning something that other people work (like a factory, or maybe a little store but in that case you still have to work).
Anyway there's a third type which is people that neither work nor own anything that gets them money. People like this often live in super mercenary ways just getting money from anything they can. Be it begging, doing whatever odd-job they can in the neighborhood, or doing illegal shit. They may be employed once in a while but it never lasts long enough that they can feel there's stability in their lives.

People that come from this background usually grab whatever they can from any source and they can become exploitative and develop a "world is a jungle, dog eats dog mindset". What follows is that any sign of disrespect is interpreted as a life or death matter that needs to be settled immediately.

Now, Rampage's son did NOT grow in such conditions! so why is he like that? because black culture in the US has an overlap with the culture that this social class usually develops, because in the US most people in that social class are black. So black people that do not come from such a background still feel pressured to act that way.
