>but we dont know jack shit about how stars actually work
actually we do know, (You) just dont know it because you are not yet familiar with the Electric Star Model.
>let alone what their lifecycles look like
stars are externally powered by the birkeland currents that created them, any changes upstream or in its plasma environment can make a star walk up or down the Hertzsprung Russel Diagram in a matter of weeks/months/years.
>lifecycles
stars dont really have predictable "life cycles", even after supernovas they arent vanishing. they are eternal, only thing that changes is what mode the plasma is in (dark current mode, glow mode, arc mode).
