It's not evil per se, but it's cruel as nature is cruel. Natural selection is, by nature, eugenic. Artificial eugenics can be evil in the sense it may turn out, in practice, dysgenic. Human race is on an ongoing dysgenic un-natural selection led by female's Tinder sexual market selection, choosing males strictly for flamboyancy, making each generation more androgynous than the last, and that is in fact evil.
