Oh, shit, you are STARTING to understand! Slowly, but surely, you are starting to know something beyond the immediate. Your genetics are totally outside of your control, and your genetics determine your ability to even make "choices" (ah, here we go!), ergo "choices" are the product of something entirely outside of your actual control, meaning they are not "choices" at all, simply expressions of genetic predisposition and circumstances... ergo, not your choice. Just like "winning" the lottery isn't your choice.

You are only here, posting on 4chan, because you were born at a certain time, with certain proclivities, in a certain country with certain access to certain technologies. NONE of these factors were within your control.
