If you actually want to know Christ, I would reccomend reading for yourself the Bible, and genuinely seeking Jesus- more specifically the 4 gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Seek Jesus, not religion if that makes sense. When people have a “negative experience with Christianity”, it seems to me that it’s always a case of someone misrepresenting what it actually means to follow Jesus.
The best way I usually describe it to people is if you have a favorite band and song, then some high school garage band plays it in their basement (and execute it horribly), you wouldn’t say “Oh that’s an awful song. No, you’d say “Wow they didn’t do that song justice at all.”
In the same way many people misrepresent Christ Jesus, myself included with a lot of things. But alas pic rel.
