Is the phone # verification a permanent requirement? Because I have had my discord account since 2016, I would hope this would be enough to verify I am not some kind of spammer of terrible troll.

I refuse to let Discord have my phone number or anything but a throwaway email because I simply do not trust the owners or shareholders of Discord. Even if I did I would not trust their security.
