It's actually the other way around. Most people like Bernadetta and can appreciate that she's well written despite the writers occasionally going too far with her anxiety.
It's her haters that are the vocal minority.
She is a bit like Futaba from Persona where occasionally the gag goes too far but as a rule if you asked the average person if they liked her they'd say yes.

I repeat, if Engage successfully destroys the gacha and forces them to make good mainlines instead of Engage, the Engage era will have all been worth it.

Engage represented gacha mechanics and writing creeping into the mainlines and it was rejected hard. Better yet, not only did it fail, it failed so hard it's dragging the gacha into hell with it. Unfathomably based.
