The Cabal is dead, long live the Cabal
/d/ - Gentle Giantess
Anonymous No.11370086
The effects of automation have been rough on a working giantess. When I fell for the trades meme, being a pipefitter was still a really good deal. If you only care about money it still is, but well...

Sure, most welders were always giantesses. Especially for hazard work like maritime platform jobs, or hot taps. But the outfit I started on was civil utilities, chem plants and a little bit of refining. Put me on a team with half a dozen tinies. And running everything by the book, you were expected to run safety drills once a week. You know what that includes? Practice holding, carrying, harnessing, and evacuation. Skilled professionals strapping in to your uniform. My designated chem and fire hazard safety pockets were drilled and my tinies trusted me as their emergency security as a matter of regulatory requirement. All the office workers were jealous.

Nowadays look at this. Those chairbound harlots only ever sign off on pipe reqs with narrow gap bevels that can ONLY be welded by machine weld assemblies. For "safety," and "quality." And that smug look whenever a new girl complains. "Is it really so haaard to just reposition the robot???" What's the point of being a pipefitter if you have to handle machines exclusively and never get to work with tiny pipewelders? I bet those paper pushers laugh about it, in between moments of "accidentally" dropping their design schematics in front of the office boy's cubicle for the twentieth time a day. I know it's awful for a victim of automation to say this but I hope Gen. AI takes their jobs, grok seduces their tiny bfs, and legos appear by elfmagic directly beneath their feet.
