It's the same story across many board's drawthreads. Obsessive requesters over requesting and spamming, getting into fights with other requesters and artists. Massive dramas, artists leaving. All drawthreads I lurk are shells of their former selves. They are jampacked with the same repeated requests, sometimes months even years old, and no one is around to draw them. Most artists fucked off to Discord or Twitter, got tired of the shit flinging from anon. The decline has been slow but its been happening for years. What you see now are drawthreads that are barely alive in some cases needing so many bumps and often dying before the bump limit. The golden age of drawthreads, across all boards, is over. Has been for a while.

You would think with how many artists are online these days it would make art inspirational. No, I find it goes the other way. Its daunting. Because you see so many people with amazing skills who are so much better than you, and realize you can never compete.
