Kinda sad how actually caring about preserving the site's stories gets you so much further than fixating on denying authors the opportunity to opt out of the archive.

There's no point in writing a new scraper, not only because the fimfarchive scraper is right there on github, but because just using the fimfarchive puts you more than 50k fics ahead of a DIY just because it contains deleted stories you can't scrape anymore.
