>The setting at its core lacks creativity and is boring. It is basically a world where monsters eat humans, with the only difference being that it draws inspiration from China instead of Japan.
>The Chinese naming conventions, plus the mythology, are confusing and uninteresting.
>The characters are one-dimensional, and aside from the titty lady, unmemorable design-wise.
>Its main goal of recovering body parts was already done far better in Dororo. In that manga, the protagonist starts as essentially a puppet, and with each new part he recovers, he regains more and more of his humanity. Here, the titty lady already starts being and acting like a cheerful human,, which makes each body part they get less impactful.
>The author focused too much on action, despite being incredibly inept at it. Like, truly terrible. Not only was the paneling complete nonsense, and the choreography completely insipid, but the different powers were also uninspired.
The premise was solid, but the execution couldn't be worse. It was too ambitious for an author who obviously lacks the experience needed to make it work.
