>The US Navy has officially presented for the first time an image of the P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft carrying a new AGM-158C LRASM anti-ship missile under its wing.

This is an important confirmation that the integration work, which began back in 2020, has now moved into the flight testing phase with possible training launches in the near future.

The P-8A Poseidon aircraft, built on the basis of the civilian Boeing 737, already serves for maritime reconnaissance and anti-submarine warfare.

However, thanks to the new missile, which will replace the AGM-84 Harpoon, it will be able to significantly expand its capabilities and strike surface targets at distances of more than 370 km.

this solution aligns with the new concept of the American military, which involves using various platforms to launch precision long-range munitions.
