back in college a series of book purchases and returns caused me to overdrafty twice. I returned a book, bought one, returned another, and bought another. the order that I did things should have allowed me to have more than enough money to no overdraft.
But the bank is all like noooo, we can process payments instantly, but we cannot process deposits and return gains for 24 hours.

I had to fight at the bank with my pile of receipts to show them that I did everything in the right order. On top of being pissed that they had zero timestamps themselves for everything.

I lost all faith in banks that day.
