Let me put it to you this way anon. There is an extremely large community that buys Black Ops titles SOLELY for zombies. I am one of those people. This mode is so popular that the Modern Warfare guys added their own version of it in the original MW3. Then it happened again in Ghosts but their spin was aliens. Then Activision forced the Infinite Warfare to have actual zombies in it. Each of these failed to capture the Black Ops Zombies experience and Activision knew that. Their solution was to force the Black Ops Zombies story into other CoDs made by other developers. Activision knows how invested Zombies players are to that whole universe and how easy it would be to get them to buy the other games if they wanted the complete experience. Even then, Treyarch words their marketing specifically to let people know that THEIR version of Zombies is coming back, because they all know that that's what anyone actually cares about. That's how much influence that one mode has on the franchise as a whole.

You just missed a sale. I imagine the next time these games go on sale will be Autumn or Winter. Just get "Black Ops 3 - Zombies Deluxe" for the definitive Zombies experience or at the very least get "Black Ops 3 - Zombies Chronicles Edition" which nets you a fuck ton of maps. I don't remember how much they go on sale, but I think the zombies chronicles version has gone as low as $20, so the other one might have gone for $40. It's a ton of content no matter which version you choose and the modding support is insane. You will literally have more options than you know what to do with
