Oldfag here. You don't have to have every anime you encounter. That is fucking stupid. Back in the day we watched everything we could because there was so little of it available in the west. Nowadays each season is just loaded with more shows than an entire year from the 80s.
I have seen a lot of anime and I can guarantee you that quantity does not make people's opinion better or worse. It just gives them more perspective.
