Since Kishi asspulled Choji and Neji back to life, here's my thoughts on the Konoha 11 - if I didn't know anything about Shippuden, here's what I would've expected:
>The Konoha Girls
lol
lmao, even
In all seriousness they haven't contributed anything of value to the story since the middle of the Chunin Exams, and that was multiple arcs ago. Honestly, the idea of trying to bring any of them into relevancy would sound like a pipe dream, you may as well just shelve all 4 of them and save the energy of designs, techniques, and narratives for other characters.
>Shika/Choji
Eh, they're the designated shill characters, so I would expect them to do stuff later on. Kind of cheating really, them appearing multiple times in Sasuke's flashback says it all that Kishi is trying to make them a beloved duo in the story.
>Shino/Lee
The weird ones; Shino seems excluded because his abilities even outside of combat (i.e. spying/tracking) seems too busted, while Lee straight-up gets rubberbanded into being stronger than FOXruto, but it's cushioned by running into yet another defensive hard counter. I kind of wouldn't expect them to do a lot of things, but I would've imagined them coming in clutch and doing some kind of last-minute save hear and there.
>Kiba
Another weird one, but for different reasons'; early Kiba reads like a joke character, but SRA Kiba feels like he's taken much more seriously, so I wouldn't know what direction he would take in the future.
>Neji
If you were to tell me about a sequel to Part 1 I would absolutely think that Neji would've been a greater mainstay in the story, since he can basically take Sasuke's role as the aloof, darker-haired, talented peer of Naruto with magic eyes and coming from a prestigious clan. The behavior that he displays in the fight against Kidomaru is so shonen MC-coded that I would be floored if you told me that he just does fucking nothing afterwards.
