It's most egregious in the areas clearly designed for Torrent to be used in combat. Namely Radahn's Boss fight (the initial cover rubble is staggered out so Torrent can run between each shot) and Siofra River / Gelmir Ascent / Scadu Poison Swamps / Ruins of Rauh - all of which are large empty expanses with long jumps for Torrent, and enemies that have enhanced lockon ranges and deal overbearing amounts of damage to incentivise you to gallop around and punish you for slowing down.
Rauh in particular is almost unplayable on Reforged, since it also removes Torrent's swamp immunity (woah, epic, now you're forced to explore Aeonia, isn't that so cool and possible what what???), so instead of it being a floor-is-lava scenario, you're just permanently afflicted with Scarlet Rot with no way to avoid it, no spaces to hop to and take a breather / cleanse yourself, and while having to deal with the souped up missile scarlet kindred that can target you further away than your own spell ranges and can reasonably 1tap you if you get in their range, as they dash around while you're wading through the swamp. You know how there's that one dogshit dungeon in Caelid that has the Golden Scarab talisman in it, and the gimmick is that you're forced to wade through small scarlet rot segments at times, with only a few platforms? And it's balanced out by having a semi-easy boss at the end (double Fujo Knights), because Scarlet Rot as a status is supposed to be one step away from a guaranteed death. Imagine that, but 50 times bigger, no platforms and literal endgame enemies.
It's not just unfun, it's plain uniᥒteᥒded.
