In an ideal world the governments WOULD better regulate businesses and they should but they will not because they have a vested interest in letting the corporations do whatever they went so the old farts at the top can keep making more and more money long after it stops being totally meaningless.
But yes you're right bringing this up is 100% the same as saying governments should fuck us more.
