The budget goes to projects like the commanche, rail guns, lightning guns and now hypersonic missiles that just all eventually get cancelled. Rest of it is funneled into R&D for nonlethal weapon systems to deal with you, rather than foreign enemies. That's why the topic gets deleted, that's why youtube is endless fluff pieces on the military despite our fleets, our greatest strength, being rusted out junkers at record low combat readiness only halfheartedly preparing for conflict in Taiwan they'll never intervene in anyways.
