I hate the domestic car market here more than I can express in words. It's a unique combination of corporate greed, government corruption, and regulatory overreach that simply isn't possible anywhere else on the entire planet.
I could write a thousand page textbook on the subject and I wouldn't have even covered half the problems.
Thankfully, the federal government recently got rid of CAFE standards, which effectively enforced a fine on any gasoline powered vehicle smaller than an SUV, and removed some diesel emissions regulations that should allow general commuter cars to run on diesel again. This should open up the US market to a lot more competition since companies won't have to design specific models just to sell in the US market with our retarded restrictions. Even through the tariffs, this should put some pressure on our dogshit domestic manufacturers.
