For fifty years Russian gas kept German factories humming and it was the quiet fuel behind Western Europe’s prosperity, the lifeblood of its middle-class strength.

Now that same gas will flow east, across Mongolia to Beijing as a scheme once stalled by Chinese caution has finally been sealed. Moscow says the energy will be sold “market rates,” but everyone knows the bargain tilts China’s way.

The saddest part of this kind of news, is that the EU ghouls still think they can defeat Russia and get some golden age out of their resources, that ship is long gone.
