I think there's always been some exchange between these ideas. The Nazis were aware of American racial stuff and authors such as Lothrod Stoddard, and didn't many leading Nazis have views about white vs. non-white civilizations? But I think these national wars in Europe also blow up the schema that American neo-Nazis project onto the Europeans. Or you get these splits where people are very right-wing end up shooting at each other.

I remember coming across some American wignat awhile ago who was a big weeb for Serbia. Watched one too many Yugoslav war remix videos I guess. Or maybe he had some Serbian ancestry. But if he had fought on the Serbian side in the 1990s he would be getting shot at by people on the Croatian side who heiled Hitler, which was a cause that some of those guys in Europe picked up, and wars tend to attract a certain sort of guy who is also into a fascist ideology.
