I think Zipp would struggle with power, because she clearly values truth above everything else. In her eyes hiding truth is downright evil, she is not happy with Queen Haven lying about being able to fly. And in politics and power truth isn't really that important, stability is paramount. What good is the truth if it burns the village down. Stability is paramount, and this is why it's the domain of politics and religion. This is why scientists would not make good politicians. Zipp does not lack confidence in action but she does lack confidence as self-certainty. I can see her acting on her belief that truth is paramount and going hard on decisions, trying not to second guess herself and failing hard. She will have to learn that statecraft is not science.

AJ and RD are similar already, but I think Zipp is closer to RD. AJ is a hard worker and she has her life figured out, she does not really expand much throughout the series. She actually contracts, because it seemed she was destined to run the Sweet Apple Acres, but it seems Big Mac and his family become more important. RD grows a lot, despite being quite lazy and disorganised, to the point some see her ascent as undeserved (dawn somewhere for example). Her main love is flight and athleticism and being the cool dare-devil. While AJ has pride in her athleticism she's far less concerned with image and showing off, it's more about heroism and practicallity. Her confidence is internal, while Dash's confidence is based on the external.

Zipp is already at the zenith, she was born to become a queen. But she's not super confident, unlike AJ and RD. She seeks confidence internally, she does not really care when others see her as great. She loves flying, but does not seek attention and validation in others. She wants validation from herself.

I still think she was mostly prototyped from Dash, but the Dash faults that she didn't inherit (carelessness) happen to be what AJ is good at, like responsibility. So it might seem she's closer to AJ, but i think this is mostly accidental. Probably the most important aspect of AJ is the grounded and simple life with honest and hard work. Zipp is a princess, her life will be far from simple farm life, but she does yearn for something more simple than being a royal. She desires to be exceptional but through her own deeds and hard work, not through birthright. Dash also wants to be exceptional, but she wants attention and approval from everyone to validate that exceptionalism, while Zipp seeks approval from herself – "I want to deserve things I was born into".

Zipp is super complex, there's really a lot to her. Love her so much.
