I went to Mt. Ooe last year in honor of Yuugi. It was a 3 hour walk on a completely empty mountain road to get to the part of the mountain that had the actual hiking trail. Very quiet and peaceful walk, wouldn't have wanted to get there any other way.

Turns out you could take a bus to and from the trail. It just happened to not be running on the day that I went.
