Oleksandr Hordiienko, head of the Kherson Farmers’ Association and regional council deputy, was killed by a Russian drone strike in Kherson region yesterday.
Oleksandr was a well-known farmer and public figure. He consistently defended the interests of Kherson’s agricultural producers, supported his colleagues during the full-scale war, and was actively engaged in local self-government.
The war had destroyed his house and farm, while his warehouses were demolished by KAB-500 aerial bombs. Despite the losses, after the de-occupation of Kherson, Oleksandr and his family returned to live 20 km from Beryslav and continued farming.
It is also known that Oleksandr personally tried to protect farmers from aerial threats - he fired at Russian drones while people were working in the fields.
Deepest condolences...
