Many people stopped playing D2 after final shape, it was a nice end to the 10 year journey(assuming you had been there since D1), whatever followed up the witness death needed to be something special, instead we get constant relationship woes between Saint and Osiris(fuck that one asshole for making them gay), and ANOTHER female villain who is also pining for their dead day lover.
We don't even see the conclusion of this, it was so poorly received that it got scrapped, instead we got smaller and smaller updates and a more unstable game.
Then in TRUE BUNGIE BRILLIANCE, they decide to retool THE ENTIRE FUCKING GAME, and condense it into a a soulless menu, 10 years worth of content? Sorry but no, just a handful of old and new things.
They're also perpetually ass pained that High Moon Studios made one of the most beloved content drops in D1 history, so they went out of their way to eliminate it entirely from D2.
