I'd like to share a story some of you might find amusing, it's related to this Mare fiasco.
>WoW modding
>it's literal dogshit in comparison to Dalamud/Penumbra
>playerbase that mods is like 0.1% of the population of the game because the mods are few and far between and 90% are outdated and abandoned by the original creators
>Blizz pushes a banwave out to get some hackers during BfA
>they also banned anyone who used the modding launcher (unintentionally)
>6 month ban too (me included)
>everyone's freaking out in the discord and on twitter
>later that day Blizz reverses the ban for all the modders but says "you're still breaking the rules and we may ban you at anytime for it, consider this a final warning"
After that the Arctium launcher had to be put on lockdown and they had to make the launcher filter the mods you try to use because people were using the launcher to make farm-able objects in-game appear much larger so they could locate and acquire them faster so now the launcher only works for gear and body mods.
Anyway I just thought it was funny how WoW's modding community is a teeny tiny fraction and yet Blizzard still reversed that ban and said "my bad".
