is how I see it and it's kind of sad. to me it just leads to stories turning out worse since they always have to jerk (you) off, can't explore inter-party dynamics and can't explore them thoroughly as their narrative foil is a literal piece of cardboard. Like imagine if Vertin meets some ikemen during 3.1 and they go

It just feels so out of place when they make these comments and don't even feel like it's a part of the narrative, especially when said character isn't even present.
