I feel the transvaluation that aesthetic or comedic value may outweigh moral restraint has been pursued exhaustively in recent years and it will probably leave us in an argumentative cul de sac. But I feel like it is less of a transcendence of morality than the abdication of it. Perhaps these are my 'romantic' notions of childhood innocence, but I do believe that personal continuity is more than mere fragments, the continuity of self is precisely what binds us to the past and anchors our dignity of the present moment. For me it feels to not acknowledge this subject permanence is to deny the integrity of personhood.
Likewise I feel that each act of reproduction and circulation has its own moral weight, and I would hope that we could elevate ourselves to not act like characters in the 'Broken Windows Theory' since that feels rather uncultivated, but you seem to have made your considerations. I still hold the believe that comedy and art at their best are never served by trampling dignity. I think there is a bolder path than the banal, to pursue creativity and insight without ever losing sight of the human being at the center of the work.
And although I do not like to impose my ethics and morality(for what the fuck do I know), maybe this has been prompted by visceral discomfort proving your point in its own way.
