I mean the system needs to build a profile on your playstyle no matter what if there's any way of being able to have any chance of any "balanced" matches whatsoever.
If it was PURELY based off MMR, and absolutely nothing else

then the game would be a giant fucking fiasco, since the game would be putting boosters and freeloaders and paid assholes and duos in lobbies they have no business in when NOT playing in their shitty little discord chat sniggering at each other as they gank mid for the umpteenth time. They've self admitted they can detect smurfs, not that it matters since outside of the tide of Arcane fans sweeping in and promptly leaving when they realized how ass-hat the game is, there are virtually no truly new players. And if there is one every so often my hunch is they stick to shit like brawl, swift play, ARAM, etc and probably have no fucking interest in a ranked competitive scene.

This is why I main Yuumi, and I jip the system a bit since it tends to put me with "carry" teams since my profile has absolutely shown through my manipulation to be a teehee e-girl let me help the team yay go team stay positive meeow meow meow
