about how I missed the yellow paint in the control center because its kinda hard to see and if you slowly approach to try and look 2 turrets will kill you. If you just book it they can only target you for half a second, but doing so would expose you to a ton of angles which might conceal turrets.
The top route is by all the conviently piled rubish. There you only have to contend with 1 turret at a time while dashing between conver and then work your way around and unlock the door to the elvator that goes to the top of the Control Center.
I go all the way around and dont even realize Ive looped around. I see the elevator on my right(right way), and some stairs leading to another one further ahead(the one I arrived on). Im all turned around an run back up to the original one and the turrets take a potshots at me. I realize where I am and just run back and make it fine sticking to the left despite having just gone all the way around to get there the first time.
Thats when I saw the yellow paint smeared from the arrival elecator to the one to the CC off button.
Now I dont know what the intent behind this design was. The yellow paint is hard to see because of the angle, darkness, and spontaneous hemorrhaging if you try to scooch closer for a better look. Its there, and obvious when you know it is, but the other route is much more alluring. Its got a bunch of jump-onable junk under a broken railing. In a more retro sense, its super obvious that is a route to take. No yellow paint needed.
The yellow paint route would be great if the closer turret was in a slightly different position so you could look down into the thing and see it without being shot.
I have no clue if he just didnt consider turret placement when considering the player deciding on the top or bottom routes, or this is some genius 4D chess game design to make me think I got red herring'd with the top route by making the easy route more sneaky.
