It irritates me how many BL authors clearly think dicks and erections are the male equivalent of some embarrassing feminine emergency like menstruating. It is much sexier if the men actually behave like people who have had dicks all their life, and went through puberty. I don't know how we collectively communicate to women that men are very used to getting erect, can become erect for no particular reason at all, will often just wait for it to recede by itself, and mostly find it very normal for their sexual partner to suck them off.
I also dislike when the guys are still obsessed with someone they met when they were like 5. It makes them feel developmentally stunted, as though they can never have a real life beyond being a literal infant. Grow up.
