Greek genetics are widespread, the vast majority of all Europeans and middle easterners have at least 1-5% Greek DNA.

All they would need is conversion to Christianity and forceful language change to Greek or Italian. Like some Greek here once said, Turks have been mind-fucked by an Arab pagan religion and an East-Asian foreign language.
