Whenever I go shooting, I find that scopes or red dots have to be right up against my face or they don't work. It's like trying to aim through a pen tube otherwise. I'm a big guy, but prone or kneeling with an average adjustible stock, I have to put it to the closest position to see through the sight properly on a borrowed AR, but to be actually comfortable with irons i extend it all the way. Even with my rifle at home I had to play with the scope focus on my 4x AND it's really far back, and using my shitty chinky RDS is hopeless since the reticule is just a big star for me. Do I need glasses? I'm not a bad shot, I just can't fucking see anything through an average scope or collemator unless it's like an inch away from my eye, and I can't use RDS sights at all.
