I cannot bring myself to care about the tragic backstory characters in the current fight. This is the first time in Zatch Bell 2 that I have not given a fuck about what's going on besides the fight which I can barely follow anyways. It's like he's rushing through this to get to some other plot point. Gradius option puppets is a cool power too, but the mamodo is like Ms Boing's design played straight with no visual identity at all and her human partner looks like an extra for a crowd shot. Neither of them are interesting enough so far for how important they're going to be considering the demon girl's powers are essential to the plot. That weird sasquatch dude they're fighting is an excellent design though. Peak Raiku beastie. Definitely one of his best monsters.
