Literally took ALL the AP/honor classes available at my 4th rate school.

Yeah I guess I was a stupid nerd though.
HS was ok. Typical HS stuff.
Probably should have studied less and had more fun. Getting into a top 75 university, taking a "non joke" degree, and going into the post-GFC job market meant nothing.
Turns out the world works not on meritocracy but on smarts, connections, looks, and how well off you are already.
