nta but here u can see its a full band and it's tight as hell. when they size up rings they cut it and stretch it out then add a new piece of metal to fill the gap and solder it in place. those welds broke and the new piece of gone, leaving a big ass gap, essentially making it have two large hooks on each side rather than a full ring.
