Say you have a friend, and your friend is the cleanest person you know: manicured nails, perfect teeth, showers daily, is never sick.
Imagine, just for the sake of example, that's your impression of this hypothetically unsullied person.
Now imagine you're at a dinner with this same person and they pick up some wet food off of your plate with their fingers, and they reach over to you and offer to feed it to you by putting it in your mouth with their food-covered fingers.
