As an African American who has worked hard to build a career, go to college and secure a good job, I sometimes feel criticized by my own community for not being “Black enough”. But what does that even mean?

I often feel embarrassed by aspects of my own community and wish we could undergo a mindset change, one that values education, intelligence, and hard work.
